Louis Vuitton Staged The Most Breathtaking Runway Show in Japan

Continuing in fashion's globe-trotting cruise collections, Nicolas Ghesquière staged Louis Vuitton's Resort 2018 show with a truly spectacular runway in Kyoto, Japan. Held at the picturesque, I.M. Pei-designed Miho Museum, Louis Vuitton unveiled its new collection atop a metal bridge overlooking the Shigaraki mountains.

Models entered through a metal tunnel and walked across a suspension bridge, making for a never-before-seen runway moment. But the show's breathtaking location wasn't the only thing worth noting. The collection itself was a collaboration with Japanese designer, Kansai Yamamoto, including an array of references to Japan's culture and fashion. Marking one of Ghesquière's most daring collections for Vuitton to date, the lineup featured illustrated sequin t-shirt dresses, bold prints and Kabuki-eyed monogrammed bags—sure to be a hit amongst the fashion set.
