Karl Lagerfeld is About to Expand His Résumé

Karl Lagerfeld fans: Get ready for some serious bling in your future because the designer is teaming up with Swarovski for a collection you'll want to get your hands on this fall. WWD reports that the 83-year-old's namesake label has "signed an exclusive multi-year licensing agreement with Swarovski Group to produce a line of fashion jewelry."

This means KL designs are about to get a sparkly makeover, and we'll be seeing the Australian brand's signature crystals featured on the designs. The line won't go on sale until September, but a preview will make its debut in March at the Baselworld Watch and Jewellery Show. Karl Lagerfeld CEO Pier Paolo Righi explains the decision to expand the brand's jewelry collection with Swarovski: "Karl is the man of accessorization and jewelry. It was, therefore, the next natural step for us to expand our product range with a fashion jewelry collection." According to WWD, we can expect to see two collections per year, featuring necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings in the price range of about $53 to $266. Not too bad for a piece of Lagerfeld-approved baubles.
