A Lesson In Diplomacy From Lady Gaga

LADY GAGA has elected to keep it classy as a Twitter back-and-forth with Piers Morgan threatened to descend in to a row. The British journalist, who is known for sharing his unfiltered opinion on social media, questioned Lady Gaga and Madonna's revelations that they were both raped many years ago. “Lady Gaga & Madonna have both made allegations of rape many years after the event. No police complaint, no charges, no court case,” the 51-year-old wrote on Twitter. “I don't think all claims of rape should be necessarily accepted as fact without proper criminal investigation, do you? I wouldn't automatically believe anything either Madonna or Lady Gaga claimed about their lives.”

Morgan also called her revelation that she suffered from PTSD as a result of the sexual assault, "vainglorious nonsense," adding “I come from a big military family. It angers me when celebrities start claiming ‘PTSD’ about everything to promote themselves.” Rather than responding to his assertions with understandable outrage, Lady Gaga instead took the high road, offering to educate him on the issues at hand. "I've worked with our VP Joe Biden on helping educate people about why women don't report, would love to share it with you some time," she tweeted to Morgan. "Would also love to talk with you about PTSD, that it's not just a 'military' disorder. There is a mental health youth epidemic. If anyone in your family suffers from it, I pray they have more good days than bad. It has affected me & my whole family." She concluded the virtual conversation by consenting to an interview with him, providing he behaved more gracefully in the run-up.
