The Walking Dead Season 7 SPOILERS: Major Character Survives Season 6 Finale?

"The Walking Dead" season 7 filming is underway, and rumors from the set may reveal one major character that actually survived the season 6 finale cliffhanger. SPOILERS are coming, so don't say we didn't warn you!

The report comes to Design & Trend via the experts at The Spoiling Dead Fans. Per the Facebook group's most recent post, we've learned a major story arc for the beginning of season 7.

For those still with us, it's looking increasingly likely that Norman Reedus' Daryl Dixon does indeed survive Negan's debut beating at the end of season 6. While initial reports from last week were a bit on the shaky side, our sources have grown increasingly confident that Daryl has persevered. Specifically, on May 16 and 20 Reedus was reportedly filming with the actors responsible for playing Negan and Dwight.

As far as plots are concerned, it appears that Daryl might be held captive by the Saviors at their home base shortly after the events of the finale. As far as viewers know now, the beloved character is currently shackled and under Negan's supervision. That being said, the story sounds pretty fair to us. It's believed that Dixon attempts to escape from the Saviors' compound at least once but is unable to do so.

Elsewhere on set, sources also saw what appeared to be a rogue Savior trying to do the same. The mission leads to a pretty extensive car chase sequence that was filmed from May 17 to May 20. At the end of it all, shots are fired, and it's assumed that the rogue doesn't complete his or her task in one piece. During these outdoor sessions, it's also been speculated that Dwight was seen wearing Daryl's trademark vest. That would make sense if he took it from the man that he's holding as a prisoner.

"The Walking Dead" season 7 filming has been underway for about a month, but this is the first semi-concrete spoiler we have regarding the fate of a main character after the season 6 finale. While The Spoiling Dead Fans has a nearly spotless accuracy record, because Reedus' shoots were private, this news is worth taking with a grain of salt.
