“Game of Thrones” Jon Snow And Ygritte Romance Still Alive Off-Screen

Jon Snow and Ygritte’s romance might have ended in “Game of Thrones” Season 4 after Ollie pierced Ygritte with his arrow straight to the heart and straight to Jon Snow’s as well as his Wildling lover slowly died in his arms. “We should’ve stayed in that cave,” Ygritte says and stay they did, but not in that cave Beyond the Wall, but somewhere beyond the world of Westeros, and beyond the set of HBO’s “Game of Thrones”.

Actor Kit Harington (Jon Snow) reminisces the time when he fell in love with former co-star Rose Leslie (Ygritte). E! reports that the actor told Vogue Italia about his favorite moment while filming for the show, and it was in season 2 in Iceland. “Because the country is beautiful,” Harrington begins recalling the memory… “because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love,” The actor also added, “If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love.”

Awww. How we wish Melisandre could also bring the red-haired Wildling back to life. Good thing the actors kept their romance alive off-screen. Harington and Leslie have been dating on and off since 2012 and in January, it is reported that they have rekindled their romance. They both are very private about their personal life, but they finally went out as a couple at the 2016 Olivier Awards in London where they were seen showing some PDA while walking the red carpet.

Meanwhile, in Westeros, Jon Snow came back to life through Melisandre’s magic as revealed at the end of the second episode of Season 6. Then in “Oathbreaker,” he walks out in the open as men of the Night’s Watch and the wildlings stare in awe and even fear. He had the men and boy (Ollie) hanged in front of everyone in Castle Black for betraying him and stabbing him to death back in the season 5 finale. At the last minute of the episode, he storms out of Castle Black saying, “My watch has ended.”

Jon Snow has been brought back to life and he regards this as a new start. His watch has ended when he died and now that he is alive again, he wants to return to the life that he wasn’t able to live when he took the Black. His true destiny lies in the next episodes (and season/s).
