Clash Royale Update: Major Balancing Changes This May 18

The next Clash Royale update is arriving on May 18, and Supercell announced that major balancing changes that would be coming to the mobile game. The balance changes include modifications in the Royal Giant, Freeze duration, Furnace, Fire Spirits and cards.


On its official blog, developer Supercell confirmed that the major Clash Royal update is scheduled to arrive this week. “In this round of balance changes we’re monitoring the Royal Giant, taking the edge off Freeze and giving the new cards some love,” the developer’s official blog reads. Here are some of the changes coming in the next Clash Royale update:

Royal Giant: Damage decreased by 4%

Freeze: Duration decreased by 1sec

Furnace: Elixir cost decreased to 4 (from 5), hitpoints decreased by 14% and lifetime decreased to 40sec (from 50sec)

Fire Spirits: Area Damage radius increased by 25%

Guards: Hitpoints and damage increased by 8%

Miner: Hitpoints increased by 6%

Lava Hound: Hitpoints increased by 3%

Lava Pups: Hitpoints increased by 9%
  
Elixir Collector: Hitpoints decreased by 9%
   
Knight: Hitpoints increased by 10%
   
Bomber: Damage increased by 10%

Cannon: Hitpoints decreased by 5%

Tesla: Hitpoints increased by 5%

Golem & Golemite: Hitpoints increased by 5%

Witch: Damage increased by 10%

Skeletons (affects Tombstone, Skeleton Army, Witch, Skeletons): Hitpoints and damage increased by 5%

Tombstone: Hitpoints increased by 10%

Card Upgrade XP: Fixed for Epic and Legendary Cards

Supercell already rolled out a Clash Royale update earlier this month. The previous update fixed several bugs and also made some balancing changes to the game. It made some balancing changes to the eight different cards, but it seems like Supercell is not completely happy with them. “We were a bit too cautious with the numbers for the new cards, so we’re looking to give them a boost and encourage everyone to give them a go,” the developer said.
