Under Armour: NO Deals Yet For Manny Pacquiao After Losing NIke

Boxer Manny Pacquiao has lost his endorsement deal with Nike.

Nike has terminated its relationship with Manny Pacquiao after the six-weight world champion described homosexuals as "worse than animals".

"We find Manny Pacquiao's comments abhorrent," said a Nike statement.

"Nike strongly opposes discrimination of any kind and has a long history of supporting and standing up for the rights of the LGBT community."

The sportswear company added: "We no longer have a relationship with Manny Pacquiao."

Pacquiao's original remark was made in a television interview and he initially appeared unrepentant, writing on Instagram that he was "just telling the truth of what the Bible says".

After a few days, Pacquiao was seen playing basketball in the Philippines in a pair of Under Armour shoes. This started the buzz that the boxer has signed or was going to sign with the sportswear giant.

But a UA representative told TMZ that this ain't true. He clearly said in a statement that the company have not yet talked or had a conversation with Pacquiao and no deals yet.

Seems like Pacquiao's having a hard time getting a deal with sponsors this time, seemingly interesting as he only got a month before the fight set on April 9.
